The FriEnt Peacebuilding Forum (FriEnt PBF) is an international platform for cross-actor dialogue on current developments, issues and challenges in the policy field of peacebuilding. The focus is on topics that are both politically and practically relevant. The conference aims to provide impetus for the development and visibility of the policy field and to strengthen global dialogue and strategic partnerships.
The FriEnt PBF provides an opportunity for German and international state and civil society actors in peacebuilding to meet with others and discuss challenges, emerging trends and pressing issues in the field. The aim of the conference is to build bridges on various levels – connecting state and civil society actors, connecting local with global strategies and partnerships, as well as science and practice.
Every FriEnt Peacebuilding Forum has a specific theme. This year’s FriEnt PBF 2024 is titled “Shifting Power in Peace” and offers a space for ideas and discussions to promote equity and justice through development, peace, and security policy. It will build on ongoing debates revolving around feminist, intersectional approaches in development cooperation, national security strategies as well as international climate agreements.
