Sylvia Servaes is desk officer for consultancy on peace building and Human Rights at Misereor, that she represents on the FriEnt-Team.
Her regional focus is on Central and West Africa; for FriEnt she has also accompanied FriEnt’s Round Table on Nepal. Her topics include transitional justice, economics and peace building and questions of impact and results measurement in peace building.
Her academic background is in Social Sciences/ Social Anthropology where her (field) research has focused on comparative peace and conflict studies, legal anthropology, African human rights traditions, as well as on German colonial history, urbanization and conflict resolution in Rwanda.
