Anna was born in 1988 in Donetsk, Ukraine. She obtained her first degree at the Donetsk State Musical Academy, while also working as a journalist and an editor for various print magazines. She moved to Berlin in 2013 to study Journalism and Communications Studies at the Freie Universität Berlin. Gender studies being her main interest, Anna wrote her bachelor paper on the feminist public spheres online. Since spring 2017 Anna has been working at the DRA e.V. Currently Anna coordinates a project at the DRA in the framework of Civic Solidarity Platform “Strengthening civil society cooperation in the OSCE region with regards to security, human rights, conflict resolution, and gender equality”.
