Dorothee Klüppel has been Head of the Africa and Middle East Department at MISEREOR, the German Catholic Bishops’ Organisation for Development Cooperation, since 2006.  

From 2002 to 2004, she worked as a specialist with the Civil Peace Service of AGEH, the German Catholic personnel service for international cooperation. In Kenya, she established a programme integrating trauma work and psychosocial support into development and peacebuilding programmes for communities affected by inter-ethnic conflict and gender-based violence. 

Dorothee Klüppel is a qualified psychologist and a consultant specialising in systemic, solution-focused supervision and organisational consulting. 

She is a member of FriEnt’s Steering Committee, representing Misereor.
