Dorothee Klüppel is head of the Africa and Middle East department of MISEREOR e. V., the German Catholic Bishops’ Organisation for Development Cooperation, since 2006.

From 2002 to 2004, she worked as an expert in the Civil Peace Service of the Association for Development Cooperation (AGEH), i.e. the German Catholic personnel service for international cooperation. In Kenya, she set up a programme for the integration of trauma work and psychosocial support into programming for development and peace – among communities that suffered from inter-ethnic conflicts and gender-specific violence. Dorothee Klüppel is a qualified psychologist and consultant for systemic solution-oriented supervision and organisational consulting.
