Flavia Marà is a Technical Advisor for Climate Action and Environment at World Vision Germany. With a background in natural resources management and political science, she brings interdisciplinary expertise to the intersection of climate, livelihoods, and peace. She has worked across Georgia, Myanmar, Peru, and Uganda, focusing on sustainable food systems, agroecology, climate adaptation and ecosystem-based approaches. At World Vision, she advances community-led landscape restoration, including Farmer-Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR), and supports locally driven climate action in both fragile and stable contexts. Her work explores how faith-based and community-centered approaches can strengthen resilience, foster social cohesion, and contribute to sustainable peace. Originally from Italy’s east coast, she is now based in Cologne, Germany.
