Nene Morisho is a Senior Researcher and Coordinator at Pole Institute, an action-oriented research institute based in Goma, Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). He has a PhD in Institutional Economics from the University of Bayreuth, Germany. He has more than 13 years of experience in the field of peacebuilding, including conflict prevention and management, the links between conflict and natural resources in the Great Lakes Region, as well as institutional and regulatory issues, particularly related to the mining sector. Prior to joining Pole Institute, Nene Morisho worked as a consultant for various organisations, including the South African Institute of International Affairs, COMESA, and the World Bank.
