Silke Pfeiffer

Silke Pfeiffer is a German human rights and development expert with more than 20 years of management experience in international and German NGOs. Since 2019, she has headed the Human Rights, Peace and Sustainability Unit at Brot für die Welt (BfdW) in Berlin, leading advocacy on human rights, civic space, conflict transformation, and migration at the German, EU, and UN levels. Previously, she headed BfdW’s programmes in Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean; led analysis and advocacy for the International Crisis Group in Colombia and the Andean region; and served as Regional Director for the Americas at Transparency International. She holds a degree in Latin American Regional Studies and completed the postgraduate programme at the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS). She is also a trained jazz and Latin singer. 

She is a member of FriEnt’s Steering Committee, representing Brot für die Welt.
