Dr Gilles Olakounlé Yabi
Citizen Think Tank for West Africa (WATHI)
Gilles Yabi is the founder, Chair of the Steering Committee and Executive Director of WATHI. He leads the think tank's activities, supervises the work of the permanent team based in Dakar (Senegal) and provides the leadership needed for the growth, visibility and impact of WATHI in Africa and globally. Since its creation in 2015, the focus of WATHI has been on the participatory and inclusive production of knowledge and generation of debates on key social, economic, political and cultural issues faced by the West Africa region. Dr Gilles Yabi has also extended experience with the media. He ensures a srong media presence for WATHI, namely through a weekly column broadcast "Ça fait débat avec WATHI", on Radio France International (RFI), the most listened and influential radio station in African French-speaking countries.
