Dr Martin Schuldes

Dr Martin Schuldes is head of Division G 23 (Peace and Security) at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) since august 2020. In this capacity, he also serves as Co-Chair of the FriEnt Steering Committee.

Martin Schuldes has more than 25 years of experience working in development cooperation including two BMZ assignments to Afghanistan (2009/2010 and 2013-2015). He holds a diploma in Public Policy (University of Konstanz/Rutgers University, USA) and a PhD in Political Science from the Free University of Berlin.

The FriEnt Peacebuilding Forum is a series of events on current and overarching challenges and trends in peacebuilding. With the Peacebuilding Forum, we want to provide future-oriented impulses for the development of peacebuilding and strengthen the visibility and importance of the policy field in its entirety.
